Shed Concrete Floor Depth

A concrete slab makes a good foundation for a storage shed. concrete is durable. it eliminates the need to build a separate shed floor. a concrete floor is easy to clean and resists spills from most of the items stored inside.. Building a shed floor is actually pretty straightforward. for many handymen, its a doable job in a day and a half, from picking up the materials to fastening the final screw. using 3/4 inch thick pressure treated plywood for your shed floor is the most economical choice and will last you 20+ years if done well.. Does anyone know how thick the concrete should be for the floor of a shed. the ground is solid underneath. when i dug up soil to get the floor level, the remaining soil is pretty solid and does not sink when.

Determine the area of the slab floor, which is measured as length times width. calculate the area in cubic metres. to do this, multiply the area in metres squared by the desired thickness of the floor in metres. example: if your shed concrete slab needs to measure 4 metres by 4 metres, its area is 16 metres squared.. Concrete floors open up many new possibilities and add to the durability and usefulness of a garden shed. fortunately, laying a cement slab floor is a do-it-yourself job, especially when you are dealing with a relatively compact area.. How thick should a concrete slab foundation be? what depth should the concrete go down to and how thick should the slab be? also, should i use roughly 150mm of hardcore? you want to measure down from what you would like as your finished floor height 450mm. that's 150mm of crush, wacker down, 50mm sand, wacker again, dpm, 100mm kingspan.
